Could anyone tell me about a painting we have here at the court house that is scheduled to be thrown out? It is an original oil titled "Woodland Path" and is signed in red capitol letters with the name LORENZ. from what I am told it was bought at a charity auction by a past judge. Any insights or information would be helpful. I would hate to see an original be destroyed.

I am interested in seeing the oil if you have pictures… where are you located?

I have a copy - probably not an original - it is probably a print - but would like to find out if a print is worth anything or other information.

I have a print titled Cottage In Woods by the same artist, would like more information if you have it. Thanks.

I too have a LORENZ (red letters, lower right) entitled Lakeside Sentinel. The information on the back says it was from the Illinois Mounting Co. but I have not been able to collect any information. I would also appreciate any information you can share… Thanks. Carrie:).

I'll let you know if I find out anything more… I hadn't checked the back, but from that I'm wondering if it wasn't mass produced? Thanks for the information.

I have a print that seem's to match your title, but my print is untitled. Would you mind describing yours? I'd like to see if this is the same as what I have. Thanks in advance!
Penny
I have the Rnchanted Vist Also signed in red capitol letters, I cannot locate any information on it. But I would love to have it to go with the other one.

I posted his bio in a previous post about Richard Lorenz.
If you have an original oil, you should keep it or sell it. The print I have appears at first glance to be an oil, but it is in fact a textured lithograph. Regardless, I'm sure many people would be interested in purchasing the one you have - oil or print. Including myself.
There were many lithograph prints made of his work, and postcards too.
