I have a painting by Detlefsen called The Village Blacksmith I do know that it was painted in 1966 I would appreciate any information I can get I did find a picture of it on the internet with a poem that was written for the picture thanks for any help I can get.

I have a 1964 Paul Detlefsen painting done on a flat piece of 4' x 2.5' redwood which depicts an old growth forest along a steam. The painting was found at a second-hand store in Mendocino, County, Northern California.
Anyone have an idea of what the painting is worth?

Hello, I have been looking for this paintings for about 20 years, I had a print of it I had bought a K-Mart. belive it or not… and for some dumb reason sold it. I have been trying to find another one for a long time. and thanks to your letter and responses I have finally found out the name of the painting, and will try to find a print, unless you still have the painting and want to sell it? I have no idea of the value… You are very lucky, its a beautiful painting.

My wife has a sofa size "The Big Moment" that she got from here grandmother. We have been looking around to get an idea of it's value but everything we see is reverse of the one she has (everything is on the other side and horse & wagon are heading left to right). Would appreciate any help in obtaining a realistic value. She is not interested in selling as she has loved this picture for a very long time.

I have a large Paul Detlefsen painting, I believe that it is called "Covered Bridge Fishing" but I am not sure. It has a boy with his dog, fishing. There is a red covered bridge above, with a horse and buggy ready to cross. The picture measures out to be approximatly 52 x 28.
