I have a painting by Alf Van Neste also. Titled: Vieux Bruges-France. It has been in my fathers basement at least 50 years. The label on the back says Milton Darling, Art Shop, Picture dealer, and Framer, 1810 Farnham Street, Omaha Nebraska. An original Etching in color by Alf. van Neste (brussels).
I also have a Van Neste. Titled Notre Dame. I found it in the attic of an old farm home I used to own. It's a print, 76 of 250. Is there value here?

In about 1994, I looked it's possible value up at the Harold Washington Library in Chicago in the art books that offer this information and I also took it to an art appraiser at about the same time. Both indicated that if it had been a painting it would have had value, but a print at the time was only worth about $500.00. I loved it anyway and kept it. If you find out more I would like to know, too.

Nancy, I just bought what I believe is the same print. Does it have a woman holding a basket in the lower left corner of the courtyard scene? The title "Courtyard in Brittany" is printed at the lower left border; the artist's signiature (difficult to decipher) is at the right. The dimmensions (image size) are 12 inches by 18 inches. Do you know the date and/or value of the print? Thanks in advance.
